I have been having issues with my ford pass connectivity... It works %70 of the time, but other times (when I really need it) it says something like "unable to connect, start vehicle to reconnect ford pass".
I drive consistently, about 50 km each day, mainly highway driving, and on the weekends I typically drive over 300 km... So the vehicle should definitely be charging.
it is important to note, that I’ve had a dash cam for the past 2 1/2 years, and I had it wired directly to a fuse and on 24/7… I’m thinking that this drained the battery. For the past couple months, I have connected it to a switch and only turn it on when I’m driving, but have I permanently destroyed the battery by the constant drain throughout the years?
The bottom line is, I’m going to the dealer tomorrow to get an oil change, so is it wise to have them change the battery while I’m there? Or am I still going to have this FordPass issue even with a new battery?
