Walked out to my truck this morning and was very displeased with the sight of my front end. :(

I will be sourcing some aftermarket LED bro-runner lights because I do not want to be replacing the light housings on a regular basis, 2400 miles into ownership is too early for this.

Unless it was vandalism. Sorry for you but at least it is completely fixable without body work or paint:like:

Hopefully it’s just a fluke. I had the same thing happen with 2000km on my Mazda3. Still have it over 8 years later and hasn’t happened since... they are glass ones too. Perfect excuse to upgrade though!

I had my current (2005) Ranger for 3 days when a rock flipped up and broke the windshield. Boy that really made me mad - but I've had it for 14 years now, and haven't replaced the windshield again. A couple repairs for rock chips, but nothing like that first one.

Hopefully it is just a fluke.

I know exactly how this feels. I noticed friday when I walked out that the one on my driver's side was smashed pretty much the same way. Didn't hear any rocks hit or anything while driving. I have about the same KM's as you.

I don't use my fog lights very often though, maybe once or twice.

NOT easy at all to find after market ones since I do not want to pay $140+ CAD for a replacement (that's just for one). I'm looking though cause there has to be one somewhere.

Better a fog light than a headlight but still no fun. I would probably go for a rigid industries or Baja Designs replacement.. probably tougher anyway.

I just ordered paint protection film for my front end, headlights and also the taillights (the front end also includes pieces for the fog lamps). I'm hoping that will help protect against that kind of stuff.

I just bought these. A bit of protection.

I ordered this kit to protect the front end - I have an AVS deflector so I don't need the hood piece, but it should cover the rest of the front end - there was also an option for pieces for the headlights and I bought those, and then also bought a bit of roll stock so I can put a layer of film on my taillights as well:

It will be here tomorrow - will post back after I've installed it. I'm hoping since this is already cut it will be relatively easy to install.

Update:

Just received the Lamin-x fog lens film covers and they are round and won't fit. You can but a sheet and do the cutout yourself or wait until the correct design is made.
Somehow the rep wasn't aware of the different shape lens and said he would notify the dept that does the patterns when we got off the phone.
Is the XLT'S fog lens round?
