My 2017 fiesta st With the Sony sound system and sync3(?) Has blown about 5 tweeters on the passenger door. Ford replaced 3 under warranty and essentially told me it was bad luck. It has blown 2 more since falling out of warranty. Even tried some after market Rockfords still the same result. Any stereo heads in here that have any ideas? Wiring is a weak point for me so I have no other details. I know this is a ranger forum but just thought I'd throw it out there see if anyone had an idea for me.

How do you normally have your sound settings set at:

Bass/Mid/Treble

Front/Rear

Left/Right

Is the full-range speaker & tweeter wired together? There should be a capacitor somewhere on the full-range speaker "blocking" the low-frequency to avoid "overloading" the tweeter...
Again without looking at the speaker connectors, maybe double check behind the door panel the connections & wiring.

-OR-

The factory amp's "internal wiring" and design might be the culprit...
I'm thinking the amp does everything sorta speak...

Maybe locate the factory amp & open-it-up [internals] to see if there's any "burnt" or "broken" wiring or chip.

That's how I would start...

For the most part, Ford sound systems are typically 2-ohm setting...

I do know the wires pass through the full range then up into the tweeter. That speaker has never had an issue. It was also replaced as I thought it may be the culprit. Same result. I'm thinking the Amp may need to be replaced, unless it's internal to the head unit.

To answer your other question, EQ settings have changed many times over my ownership, but I usually keep them not far off dead center. Certainly never jacked the HI range up.
