I'm having issues with closing the rear door on my 2019 Ford Ranger. It pushes closed but doesn't shut completely. You can see a gap. Other than not using the door-the only solution that seems to work is slamming it with my body weight. Any ideas what I could do?

Maybe it’s something as simple as a part of the door weather seal being out of place or drooping down and jamming things up. I would do a thorough check of the seal, especially the bottom edge of the door that is a bit out of sight. Also check the hinge side to see if any wire loom or the detent thingy (do rear doors have these too?) are to blame.

I hope it’s not a misaligned door - they can be adjusted but shouldn’t be out by that much.

Best of luck.

something like the seat belt in the way, or.. is the body twisted from an accident?
