Is anyone having issues? Mine seems to be reporting hotter by several degrees. Said it was 97 on the way home tonight and actual temp was apparently more like 92.

Temp may have been 97 where you were and 92 at the reporting station. I see this all the time, I figure trucks temp is accurate + or - a degree or two...

I like to compare to Bank temperature displays when I can, usually the Bank signs are in the sun and higher than the Trucks indicated temp by a couple of degrees...

The temp actually changes quite a bit from spot to spot. Especially hilly areas near morning or evening. Anyone that rides motorcycles knows this from the constant changes you feel on your face.

Yep. But riding you feel the instant change where the truck temp doesn't change that fast while moving.

I figure the truck is pretty accurate while moving as is my bike because you don't get the "false heat" from the engine and road when sitting still. I have a weather station and the sensor sits under my carport about 8 feet from the bike. When I check the temp on the bike before pulling out of the carport before daybreak, it is +/-1 degree of the weather station. Even though my truck sits out in the open, it is also within the +/-1 degree range before daybreak when I drive it to work.

Yes the official temps are taken from the airport several miles away but usually are the same or maybe 2 or so deg different occassionaly. We have a 2012 Fusion that does really well in this regard. I'm gonna pay closer attention and see what I find. If it is out of whack I'm hoping it is adjustable/able to be calibrated.
