Exhaust gas recirculation system flow high

2019 Ranger Lariat FX4
Today the engine service light came on in Rex the Ranger. Rex is a 2019 US born and bred Ranger Lariat FX4, with just over 60k miles. According the the app, "The engine control system has detected that the gas recirculation system flow was higher than expected for the operation conditions." Has anyone experienced this fault before and if so, what has the prognosis? Thank you all.

only two issues we see really here at the dealer , most common is the sensor on the egr valve or the complete assembly , I would need the code to better determine which course of action

I can't get it into the dealership until July 17th, they are all booked out. Do you see any need to try to get Rex in sooner if there are no performance issues?

Drive halfway normal and you should be fine lol, keep the long trips to a minimal

These are the codes you will most likely see:
P0402 and Related P139C as the codes relate to each other.
Might just be momentary thing with moisture buildup in the DPFE sensor causing an erroneous reading.
So just monitor for drivability issues and actual light on the dash

For Reference: P139 = DPFE Sensor (Differential Pressure Feedback Sensor)

P139A - Hoses Reversed
P139B- Upstream hose off or plugged / restricted.
P139C -Downstream hose off or plugged / restricted.

The Downstream is the smaller one of the (2), it is the hose closest to the electrical connector.
Moisture buildup inside the sensor will give false and erroneous readings to the PCM you will most note it inside the Upstream side of the sensor, bigger tube.
The biggest issue here is that symptoms occur before it generates the code, and when it finally gets a (error difference) great enough it will pop the code.
The moisture comes from the natural moisture content in the exhaust flow, Ford has modified the DPFE sensors over the years to eliminate this issue but have yet to perfect it.

P0402 - EGR Flow Excessive Detected
* EGR Tube Restricted (This tube is the orifice tube that interconnects both the Downstream and Upstream sides of the sensor (Measuring the Differential Pressure)
* Slow Responding DPFE Sensor
* Damaged DPFE Sensor
