Hey folks! ‘23 XLT here. Does anyone have any tips? My DRLs (amber lights in headlights, side markers, plus some extra amber aux lights) got stuck on without me noticing the other day after I parked the truck and went to work for the day. When I returned to my truck, I noticed they were on while the truck was off, but then heard a *click* and they switched off. Now, when the truck is on and running, they do not turn on anymore. However this is only a problem if the lights are on auto and it is during the day. If I switch the lights to the “on” position, or drive at night, they switch back on. They also turn on if I remote start and they flash when I lock the truck.

Any tips? Is there a fuse I should be looking for?

Isn’t there a setting in the ICP to turn off DRL? Maybe it was disabled by accident or by bug

Sorry, not 100% sure what ICP stands for but assuming you mean the instrument control panel, I checked and there’s nothing there. Is there possibly a setting in Forscan that might have flipped?

The OP is from Canada, their DRLs work differently from ours in the US. They are required have the DRLs on anytime the truck is running, irregardless of switch position. And their DRLs include parking lights.

Do your Headlights trigger on in (Auto) or do you have to manually turn them on?

I would scan and see what fault code triggered - the issue appears to be on the DRL circuit itself or the (Auto) circuit side of the switch which includes the (Ambient Light Sensor) on the top center of the dash.

If you scan and find a code - note what it is and clear it and see if it comes back as the BCM has probably disabled, the DRL Circuit and or the Auto-Lamp Circuit (picked up a short) and it dumped the power off of it.
If the Headlights are not triggering on (Auto) then it's on the (Auto-Circuit)
With this being a Canada truck, the DRL Circuit includes the Parking Lights, and you do not have a DRL Menu on the (IPC) Screen (Instrument Panel)

Great I will give this a go this weekend and see what it says. Headlights still trigger on in auto, and if they are on, the DRLs are too. It is only when the headlights are off (in auto or otherwise) that the DRLs are not on.

I will update if I manage to fix it!
