drivers side windshield wiper arm??

I washed truck today lifted the wiper and bam its limp!!! is this right ? I hope this thing can push snow off !! has anyone replace with a more ridged or is this to form to windshield? thanks for your time to answer.

This is normal for these type of wipers. They conform better to the shape of the windshield during the entire wipe stroke.
