Hello, welcome to my project! I'm attempting to create a light bar to hold multiple light pods for multiple purposes. (Camping, Roadside assistance, etc) Also, utilize the topper for passive markings. (Conspicuity designs)

The rack will actually attach on the front panel (closest to the cab window), w/ lights facing towards the rear and sides. Utilizing existing holes/hardware, brackets will hold a C channel piece that I'll mount the lights to and have the ability to store extra wire inside. I want to be able to raise the lights while camping. The rear panel has reflective tape, anything to help being seen.

Took my design and mocked up in styrene. I felt my cardboard template, wasn't helping me enough. I'm not happy and going to attempt a different design.

Attempted a slimmed down version, utilizing mostly the C channel.

Last week, I attempted to mark light placement. I've planned for 2 side spots, 1 rear facing, 2 marker lights. I also attempted to fix a gap, approx .125 on bar side tabs.

I don't know if this is best, but I was thinking of cutting into the rear side of the light rack to allow the spare wiring to be tucked inside, so there's no stress on the wire loom, when raising the back panel.

I have an idea, I want to open up my led light and see, if I could disconnect the wiring (pig tail), so I could install rubber grommets on the light rack, so I could have a cleaner looking install. Who want's to see the inside of a Rigid Industries SR-Q ? I'm curious, if I could just disconnect and solder the power and ground back to the PCB board.

The good, bad, and the ugly... So now, you know! So this R.I. SR-Q is approx 2011 amber, never been used, FYI. Used 7/16 hex key removed 6 screws. Removed flush mount lens plate, gasket has marker nubs. Slowly pulled it off, reflectors also have corresponding nubs. Removed 3 screws and flipped up the board to expose epoxy sealed end. I should've known!!!! Let me show ya.

I'm planning on hiding the cable inside the C channel, so been struggling to find a good size match for rubber grommets, I want to use. Got some more lights ordered on the way. I think I am going to go with Switch-Pros SP9100.

I'm looking for an amber running light. I didn't think my RI A-series would fit, seems too wide. So I'm testing Baja Designs rock light 39-8046. BD vs. RI063F.

Got side tracked and attempted to add some old racks to carry a second kayak. I'm worried I may break the anchor cleats. I bought a piece of C channel steel and thought maybe using 4 inch sections instead of resting the rack against the cleat. Maybe a safer/stronger attachment point????
