Dash Board truck Silhouette

I bought my Ranger new in 2019. After all these years I don't know if the truck silhouette ever ever showed the lights when you turn on lights for driving. On my wife's 2016 Escape it does

2021 xlt does not show the lights on.

My XL does not. Just the green "beam" light.

huh, now that i think about it, is there any way to remove the truck from always displayed on there? Never really messed around with it.

Some vehicles, like the 2016 Escape, have headlights that illuminate in a distinct way or create a specific visual effect when you turn them on. The Ranger, on the other hand, might have a headlight or daytime running light design that isn't as pronounced or works differently.
