Since the rest of the exhaust system is fairly large tubing, I just cut out the stock (restrictive) muffler and welded in a flowmaster super 10. Gives it a bit of growl (not ricey at all), frees up the flow a bit, and cost me maybe $50.

Had my muffler chopped up to the converter and had enough room to squeeze this MRT axel dump tip which is designed to give more than just a straight flow noise and I knew going into it that our trucks will never sound like a “truck” and with the way I treat mine more like a race truck than anything I’d be doing serious towing or hauling with. When I’m in sport and give it gas it sounds (I’m 21 so mainly I just wanted to hear somethingggg that showed off the power of the truck) like a throatier Wrx but obviously has its limits where it blows out. You definitely hear the truck now and it’s funny to me that as I break and down shift you can hear the pops coming out of it like a Honda. Sorry for the Snapchat video I’ve never really taken a quality sound vid for it so I can do another if you’d like to hear

Listening back to the audio of that it really does not do it justice while driving, that was right after we got it on so I was hasty to get out on it

Muffler delete here .
Hi Doc,

I have always admired your posts for doing so I finally joined the forum.

Around 70-80 mph is there an uncomfortable drone? I had installed a Flowmaster 10 and it exited at the OEM muffler location and welded a hanger for the OEM location. It exhausted directly under the truck without a turn down and it would give me such a back headache due to the tone/frequency. The drone was so bad I could feel it but received a lot of compliments. Will the muffler delete scream and drone really bad at 70-80 mph?
