Creaking sound on compression

First winter with this truck and noticing a creaking sound from front suspension when I hit a hole going slow down hill. Didn’t really notice this until it got cold but it is definitely loud and almost sounds like a crunch/creak. This is stock Tremor (Fox) suspension with no modifications other than different wheels and tires. Any ideas?

Did you get new lug nuts with the new wheels ? Are they hub centric ? May want to check tightness too....100 ft/lbs.

Yep torqued to 100 and checked them few times since. No vibrations at any speed. Only the noise when I compress front suspension.

Haven’t tried. Will give that a shot today. Also going to take off a wheel to get a better look. These wheels are lower offset than stock (more backspacing) but tires are wider so paranoid something is rubbing on suspension at full compression.

What seems strange to me is that it seems worse the colder it is. I keep thinking of my squealing tailgate damper that makes a racket in cold weather.

Took wheel off today and really poked around with flashlight. Could find no indication of rubbing anywhere. Put wheel back on and articulated but did not see any rubbing. So o feel better about that worry.

It warmed up to the mid 30s today. Went for drive and could not reproduce. This seems to be a cold weather thing. Decided gonna go back to not worrying about it
