So on the passenger side in the front, my carpet is separating from the front console. Anyone else experience this?

I'm wondering if I should glue it back myself or let the dealer do it.

If you are still under warranty then why not take it to the dealer instead of trying to fix it yourself? That way it is documented and hopefully fixed by them. So if there are any other problems similar to that later on it is on the record. Just my 2 cents.

i doubt the carpet is glued to the console usually the carpet is down and the console sits over it and most likely just got untucked from under the console. from the bottom pressure from the footwell.

if you have lots of passengers, or form fitted floormats put more pressure on the edges of the carpet the constant pressure from in and out could do it. you can try to shove it back up under the console and it should be good to go.

Hi Gorgei,

Two things....Open up a formal complaint with Ford Customer Care... Now take it back to the dealer for the repair...more shoddy work by Michigan Truck line workers. The carpet is likely not glued down but should be trapped under the center console... The dealer might try to just stuff it under the plastic and it may work, but if it tears..then it is on their nickle to remedy....

Best,
Phil
