I made the decision (a few weeks ago) to cancel my Bronco order and move on from this fiasco. Between Fords latest emails to us a few weeks ago about changing your order to something THEY want you to build and this long wait I’ve lost all interest now. Plus I’m still in the low 400’s on the dealers list and no way they’re going to get 400+ allocations in the next few months. Then when it doesn’t get pulled Ford has said they’re most likely going to wipe the books clean of all past reservations and now you’ll have to start fresh and reorder again. That means the 2020 price protection will be gone and seeing how much these (and everything else) have gone up over the past couple years it makes it not really worth it for me now.

My buddy (actually it’s his wife’s) who had a day 1 reservation and finally got theirs last June is now selling his. He asked me if I wanted first shot at it and it only has 3,000 miles, been garaged since December and he’s more OCD than I am if you can believe that. lol It’s close to what I was going to order (2dr Badlands, white, non SAS, High package) but they have a lot more options and accessories bringing it to $60K. Mine was only going to be $47K with the invoice pricing and $2,000 off dealer special. That’s way more than I wanted to spend on a toy right now. Plus now that I have my name on a list at 3 different dealers for a Ranger Raptor I’ll see what happens there. While I’m not going to get my hopes up at least there’s a better chance now at getting one. The B&P still isn’t out and we’re only guessing at what the price will be on those based on what the ROTW Raptors are going for. Looks like the wait is on again.

Why are they selling their bronco so soon?
They love it but they just don't drive and use it much. It's now sitting in the garage because they don't want it out in the MA winters. Plus he's now realizing it's an expensive toy to have just sitting around and not using it more while paying that loan payment each month. They'll never take it off road so it was always meant to be a Mall Crawler. lol

I think we'll start seeing a lot more like this as many who bought them will never use them for what they were intended for. Plus being a 2dr there's very limited cargo space which make them impractical for longer trips.

Sorry about your travails with the Bronco order.

I think you did right by jumping out.

Honestly surprised you held out this long as I sure wouldn't have.

After Ford's stellar rollout of the Bronco and the Maverick, I'm going to just sit back and watch the new Ranger for a bit.

New Ranger soon, new Colorado soon (very nice looking BTW), and new possible hybrid Tacoma coming out soon.

Going to be lots of options in the near future.

Of course I will most likely take the option of just keeping my old and worn out 5G.

I kind of made peace with it about a year ago but being a stubborn Polack I figured I'd try and hold out a little longer. lol

I have the 2dr Bronco Badlands set up on Cars.com and watch it daily. I'm seeing many more new ones still on the dealers lots selling for msrp now. Of course there's still a few that are asking over but they're not selling right now. I'm still keeping my options open if the R-Raptor is to expensive or this mess happens again and might look for one then and just keep my 5G.

Yes the new Colorado is nice looking and they should be out soon as production started on 1/25/23. I think the ZR2 production hasn't yet but should be soon and I'm looking forward to seeing one. Of course everything always looks different in person than it does online but even the onside looks like they did a nice job redoing. Sorry @Friday yet? I know you're heads about to explode from all the Chevy talk. But I did say IF I bought one I'd get a blue one. :giggle:

Chevy blue ain't near as pretty as Ford BLUE!!!!

Best start shopping now for annual service plans with the local tow companies. Should be able to negotiate some discounted rates due to being a regular customer.

We have our 2020 XLT Ranger, and a 2021 Bronco Badlands... Could not be happier with both rigs. Sorry you had to cancel. We do have another Badlands on order but who knows when we'll receive this one....

Thx! Glad to see you got yours and are happy with it. I'm guessing if the economy gets worse there will be a few more good used ones up for sale or dealers trying to unload them maybe even lower than msrp?

With the rates this high and only getting higher I don't see how they'll be able to sell these or other vehicles for that matter. Sales are definitely slowing from this and when I look at the Cars.com site it shows the payment for the listed Broncos and they're averaging $800+/month. Of course that's the minimum down but not to many have tens of thousands to plunk down right now.

Hi Dave,

It is upsetting to see what Ford Business side is doing to jack around the customer...

Sad situation...I hope they realize this approach has negative aspect of potential future customers.

Sadly,
Phil

It sure is Phil and they'd better right the ship pretty quick! Trust my I love my Ranger and all my pats Fords but with all these issues now and all these bad launches it's definitely making me look elsewhere. At least keep my eyes open more to what's out there especially with all the new redesigns coming this year.

I think they're way to invested now in EV's right now. They need to have two separate divisions so each can have their own team managing them. I know all the manufacturers are dealing with constraints but it seems like Ford has handled it the worst. All the warranty claims don't look good either and 2B isn't chump change.

Speaking of the new Colorado, found a pretty detailed review of the Trail Boss version.

Reviewer personally owns a Tremor.

TLDW: He prefers his Tremor over the Colorado
