GAP insurance is a thing. I usually have it on vehicles I own at least.

Granted in the current market its kind of useless, but I find value in them under normal circumstances.

oh sure, its a great thing to have. but you know they pull every loophole they can to get out of paying you 50-60 k for a truck plus the 30k that someone willingly paid over that price...

plus, I dont know about your neck of the woods but where I'm at GAP is not included automatically in most cases, its something you need to pay extra for. So, of course, many people dont.
