Do ya'll see what I see in the middle of all that wreckage and debris?
Thank God, Morgan @veedubtuner was clear of all of this.

We're always breaking records here but it's usually in the summertime. While we were glad to have a warmer winter after being away for 18 months I know it's not a good thing and hope next year we have more rain and snow in the mountains. But nit was nice to not have to turn the heat on even one time. :tumbleweed:

Right Chris @Chris M  😜

https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/much-western-half-country-had-173319274.html

Several cities can now claim winter 2025-26 as their warmest on record, including locations with over a century of data, like Salt Lake City (152 years of data), Tucson (130 years of data) and Rapid City, South Dakota (114 years of data).

Phoenix, Arizona, obliterated its previous record (a record that was only a year old, mind you) by almost 3 degrees, a pummeling of a record in the realm of three-month temperature data.

What Happened?

Remember how cold weather in the East is what kept the country as a whole from having its warmest winter on record?

Well, that’s a major clue to why the West was so warm.

A ridge of high pressure has dominated the western half of the country, allowing for consistent warmer weather to prevail as well as causing the jet stream to steer storms farther north, limiting snowfall for the mountains.

This trend is associated with the negative phase of the Arctic Oscillation (AO), a global circulation pattern in our atmosphere that indicates the strength of the polar vortex. When the AO is in a negative phase, the polar vortex is weaker, which allows for colder air to spill into the eastern half of the country while trapping the western half under warmer conditions.

I wouldn't even have the AC on up there yet. lol That's the weather Annie loves and while I like it too (anything under 105 is nice) it's way too early for it. Unless the pattern changes it looks like you'll be breaking more records this summer. 🥵

Our weather is perfect now and what a difference living at 3,000' makes compared to up there at 1,000'. Also no concrete jungle to deal with so the nights are a lot cooler. I'm sure you're counting down the days until you guys can move down towards Tucson.

When I got up for work this morning it was in the 70's. I'm talking around 5:30am. The weather went though all kind of changes today, and by the time I got home around 4:30pm, I had about 1/4" of new snow on the back deck, and the sun was shining. Crazy!

Lots of hail and tornados the other day in IL and ID. Look at the size of this hail in southern Kankakee County IL. All together there were 17 tornados over the last 3 days in 6 states the strongest being an EF-3 in Kankakee, IL lasting 81 minutes over 31 miles and 150 mph winds into ID.

Crazy activity for only being the beginning of March and there's another storm brewing into the weekend for the central states which could have the same hail and tornados.

Meanwhile in Vermont electric school busses aren't doing well in the seasonal temperature changes. Another 4 gone.

As long as no one was injured I say good! Put this whole EV thing on the back burner and stop pushing this crap on everyone. Imagine if there were kids in there and this happened:question:
