That has been the rule of thumb for the last 50 years that I have been hot rodding cars.From what I've read most tuners suggest a one ranger cooler sparkplug per 75-100 HP added. Based on that I don't think I need to change the heat range. I figure my Livernois tune adds around 50 HP so no need for a different plug but the extra heat shortens plug life. I'll go with the Motorcraft plugs so that's cheap insurance.
