Beating the dead horse..... Yall use mid grade gas or 91? Any performance difference?

I'm in week 3 of ownership. Been putting in 91 octane in tier 1 gas stations (shell/Chevron). With criminal gas prices here in CA ($5/gallon), I'm thinking to switch to 87 or mid grade (Costco possibly). I don't do any towing or heavy off-roading etc..mainly work commute and my fishing trails in the weekend.

Any advantage of using prem fuel in these rangers...guess its all what's being optimized in these engines from factory? TIA!

PS: Averaging around 21.5mpg with prem gas..haven't experimented to see if using less grade will impact gas milege.
