Has anyone purchased these and do you prefer bars or steps?

I prefer the flat steps and am satisfied with the stock ones on for the time being. But, down the line, I like the new Ranger Tremor but not the bars/drop steps that come on it, as they may be harder for my petite wife to navigate when climbing up. (I am six-three and do not need these things at all, but they come in pairs.) If I do end up getting a Tremor, I'll probably replace its bars/drop steps with something like the present OEM flat steps or maybe find some nicer ones. Of course, the flat steps hang lower and increase the chance of catching on obstacles, but the difference does not seem great enough to matter in practice.

Hey Michelle, I have the Westin Drop Step Nerfs, which are similar to those Rough Country steps.

I had two things to consider:
  1. Taller tires and 2-1/2” level - truck sits high
  2. My height (6’) and long legs
I find they look better on a truck that sits up quite high. I feel they looked too low with my stock wheels before I installed the lift and 32” tires. (see my build thread)

Flat bars look good on stock setups because they don’t fill up the space between the rocker panels and the road surface. They look more sleek where they need to be.

I also had to worry about having my knee up around my ear when getting out and the lower drop step makes it easier for me and my 34” inseam.

So, depending on your personal needs, personal tastes, and suspension/tires, you’ll have your own opinions.

Excellent thoughts to consider! Thank u!

I went with the N-Fab Epyx which is similar. I like the close fit to the body that this style has.

I’m leaning toward the step rails after seeing the pics posted. They look very nice! ????
I wonder if Ford Pass points can be used to buy any brand or only Ford brand. ??
