[The Last Ranger]

Finally installed my AVS Bugflector II on my 2021 Lariat. The install went well and had no problems as the hood closes perfectly. I used rtv rubber sealant on the plastic screws to keep them from loosening. Looking at this bugflector I couldn't see how wind pressure would make it hit the hood as It appears far enough away and I drive 65-70 at most. Time will tell and I will keep an eye on it.

That looks good. I had thought of getting one but wasn’t keen on the idea of taping iit to the hood. Now when I see it on your truck makes me rethink it.
I went with the screw in Bugflector on this ranger. No problem in the past year. Had one on my 02F150 for 16 years - no problems either with it banging against the hood - it never did. If there was enough force to make it bounce against the hood, I am thinking it is probably about to break anyways.

You people getting paint chips in the hood, do you do a lot of highway driving? Also, are you getting chips on the lower painted areas?

For me...yes to both.
About 80% Interstate and freeway driving.
My '19 Ranger got chips all the way up the hood and down the sides of the truck, and that's why I bought the hood protector for my '21.
I'll probably add the Ford mudflaps before too much longer to protect the sides just a little bit.

I have the AVS textured one that 3m tapes to the hood and I love it, really like the low profile design and the material matches all the other textures on the truck.
