Alu-cab!? Check it out...

Wondering if anyone has one of these things.

If you don't, where do you think it lands on the "sensible purchase" <--> "WTF did I just spend $15k CAD on" scale.

So I currently have a RTT and if I had the money would switch to something like the alu cab. The reasons I like the design better are that it is easier to add heat, provides standing room inside the rear of the vehicle, faster to set up, looks cool, overall think it would be easier to live out of and give a place to hide from bad weather.

Yeah kinda what I'm wondering. I mean there is no question that the Alu-Cab is way more burly, better insulated, has a full back door (rather than using existing tailgate) the tent is clearly better quality, a lot of mounting plates, etc.. but overall I think the basic concept is quite similar.

(also, small thing but I can actually find one, lol ... the GFC are currently not starting builds until this winter.)

I decided to put my money on a Hiatus Camper. Yes, it's over 12,000 $... but the pop up being hard sides, for the arsh winter here in QUebec, I think it was the best choice. We will have to wait, since the lead time is pretty deciving... I'll have it in february 2023, but it's ok for me.
