Advanced trac service reset

I just got gas and as I was driving away, the advanced trac service light came on along with precondition and abs. My steering got more stiff, still driveable. Got home, used my diagnostic reader, nothing showed up. I resetted the truck battery. The light was still came back on. So I called ford because my truck was there for a differential carrier part and I asked if that could have something to do with it. I was going to bring it in, but on the way out, the light disappeared and my steering was back to normal.

I know people on here had issues with this before but did anyone have no issues after it resetted?

My wife said to trade the truck in for a tundra, and I said ok. I think I scared the ranger with the trade in.
