Installed some spots on the truck finally. They are ok… not exactly what I was looking for, but perhaps I can aim them a little better.
When I load the bed with my tools, the truck squats 1 1/4” at the back wheels. This aims my low beams way too high. My idea is to aim the lights properly when loaded, and then use the spots to fill in for when the truck is empty.
The lights are bright enough, and pretty easy to install. I made a bracket from some stainless flat stock to go behind the bumper spanning two of the tabs. I wired the lights into upfitter switch 3.
It’s rare that I put something “cheap” on the truck, but I paid next to nothing for these. I’m kind of disgusted with all the stuff coming out of China… but alas here I am with some of it.
Anyway, I’ll run these for awhile until I find plan my lighting better…. and find the money to go to town.
