Used to have to order oil based Sikkens from out of state. Website said can't ship to CA but a sale is a sale.
I went into a Benjamin Moore store when I was still in SF. I wanted a gallon of some enamel (oil based) in a color that matched one we used when we remodeled. The guy pulled up a quart and I said, "oh sorry, I needed. gallon", he said, "you will have to go out and come back 3 more times". :(

California isn't anti people, just anti business, oh and guns, and of course petroleum products and.... Well, just not anti people.

Oh and if you friend puts that illegal thing/tune/whatever on his car, not that as well... :)

I just ordered a HPS silicone intake pipe for my sons 2016 Lexus IS200T.... HPS Black Silicone Post MAF Air Intake Hose Kit Lexus 16-17 IS200t 2.0L Turbo - HPS Performance Products ......and had to ship it to a friend in AZ who in return shipped it to me today......I'll get it Wednesday.......keep in my mind, this is just an ordinary hose......like a radiator hose......only it's for intake (More intake air means more HP...or at least it's suppose to).......and the company that sells them is in CA and can't ship within the state or even pick-up at their warehouse......SO FRICKEN STUPID!!......CA needs to stop over regulated EVERYTHING!!

I have a lot of unhappy buddies in CA. :(

I was watching some of the activity with regard to smog (sorry emissions) regulation in CA and there was talk of the emission testing becoming a lot more invasive. Like doing SW analysis on tunes in a given vehicle, aftermarket scans for forbidden parts, etc. Have you seen anything like that?

I have a lot of unhappy buddies in CA. :(

I heard the same thing......I just bought my son his Lexus a few months ago so the tags will be good for a while so no need to worry.......but I'll swap out the new intake hose for the old before the smog test.......my Tremor however is tuned with the Ford Performance tune which I believe is 50 state legal......and I have the MBRP exhaust......but I don't think these should cause any red flags.......at least I hope not!.......but I can understand that a company like @Realtruck doesn't want to get in deep sh*t selling or shipping to CA certain productss that CA "regulated and prohibits".......

Wasn't that CA emissions crap the main reason Tom Cruise was pissed and broke in Rain Man ? That plus daddy issues...

Frankly barely remember the plot, but I suspect anything that was bad about emissions requirements back then is child’s play today.

I think they are rolling out stuff like checksum testing for tunes, physical inspection that goes beyond s mirror looking for cats, etc.

I fear I have gone and hijacked a thread that shouldn’t be hijacked. The OP is a good company that deserves an un-hijacked thread.

Had good service, didn’t hesitate or hassle on price match on last order for 1 item in cart I added. Usually 1 of 3 vendors I check on items needed. Not everyone can carry everything. Got headache rack, tailgate assist and protector on last couple orders. Plus your rep actually took time to confirm measurements of headache rack internal measurements that wasn’t listed anywhere. Now that’s customer service.

Hows that whole restricted shipping thing laid out anyways? Those regulations must really only apply to businesses I'd imagine right? Say I shipped you whatever it is that you want that's non-compliant.. could Cali throw the book at me from cross the country if they found out?
I was wondering the same question. I might need to have someone mail me a few "gifts" lol
