If you live somewhere with long rainy seasons, melting snow, or roads covered in salt half the year, you probably know this feeling: you open your car door and… something just feels off. Damp air. Muddy footprints. Maybe even that faint musty smell you swear wasn’t there last week.

Moisture is sneaky. Rain, snow, and road salt don’t just stay on your shoes—they get tracked inside and slowly work their way into carpets, floor mats, and even metal components. Over time, that moisture can lead to worn mats, trapped odors, corrosion, and interiors that never quite dry out.

Floor mats usually take the biggest hit. Constantly wet mats can curl, crack, or wear thin faster than expected. Salt residue is even worse—it’s abrasive and can slowly eat away at materials if not cleaned off regularly. Once moisture gets underneath the mat and stays there, it’s hard to notice until damage has already started.

A few habits that help during wet seasons:
  • Shaking out or rinsing mats more often
  • Letting them fully dry before reinstalling
  • Checking underneath the mats occasionally (you’d be surprised what hides there)
  • Keeping a small towel or brush in the trunk for snowy days
Material choice really matters. Mats made from TPE material handle moisture much better. They don’t absorb water, are easier to clean, and tend to be more durable against salt and grit. A good TPE mat also stays in place thanks to its anti-slip design, which adds a layer of safety when conditions are already sketchy.

Our 3W TPE floor mats. They’ve held up well through wet winters, clean up fast, and don’t stay damp or smelly. Now purchasing from this link could get discount:

I bought a set last black Friday and got around to installing them couple weeks ago. The fitment is much better then the ford weather mats. Sits flat and holds the dirt in. Great product!
Thank you for trust!

I'm very happy with the floor mats that I purchased from ya'll during the summer. I think that they made the inside of the truck look better.

I am not at all happy with my Weather Tech mats. The material is very stiff and they slide all over the place when I get in the truck. There is no Ford-designed anchor point. I complained to Weather Tech and they sent me giant sticky pads, free of charge. Hower, how are you supposed to remove them to dump them out???? Please explain to me why 3W mats will be better than Weather Tech. Thanks.
