After looking through the stickied thread on tire size, I'm pretty sure I know the answer is going to be 265/65, but...

Did anyone have success (no rubbing, etc.) with 265/70 without a lift? Or a 275/65 without a lift/removing crash bars/adding spacers?

The most I plan on doing to my 2019 Lariat FX4 is adding the Fox 2.0 level, and I don't want to remove crash bars or add wheel spacers. From what I read in those 40+ pages either of the other two options are going to requires some kind of modification beyond what I would like to do.

Thanks for any insights provided!

255/70/18 will also fit without any suspension mods. I have that size on mine.

I have 265/65R18 with the Fox 2.0 kit on stock wheels. It looks like a little larger tire could still fit, but beyond the 265/65R18 you are taking a risk of possibly needing to modify crash bars.

Thanks for the confirmation. Don’t want to go narrower than 265, don’t want to remove crash bars. Really sounds like 265/65 is the right choice for my situation.

What are you going to do with it? Are you going to air down to go off roading or is it just to have a more aggressive stance whilst getting pizza and ice cream?

Stuffing a very wide tire on a very tall rim (or with large sidewalls) could interfere with airing down would be my concern. This is the reason that I went from 18" rims to 17"s before increasing the sidewall aspect ratio.

I have a slight Rough Country lift 3" and run 285/75 on Roush rims, no spacers, Still have my Crash bars too, I tow a lot and have never gotten the truck to squat, I had 1100 lbs in the bed of short steal a few months ago and it went down a 1/2 inch LOL
It works like a "Beast" every day, rides like a truck and the tires are noisy LOL My 285/70 were not this noisy, I run them at 42psi that may be part of riding like a truck and noisy? I have seen some guys laugh at Rough Country, but I dont have one bad thing to say about them in the last 20k miles of hard use, I also have their side steps and Bull Bar....
