Sooooooooooo... the best laid plans, and all of that.

I took a closer look at my tires this weekend and discovered something. Something really bad. The tires that were cupped were the ones that had only 30K on them; the tires with 50K were fine, but obviously running out of life. I need four new tires!

Went back to my garage and he's sending back the two tires he had ordered in and will be replacing all four with Hankook AT2 Extreme (RF12). I will post pics on Wednesday.

One of those "what the heck was I waiting for" moments. You just don't realize how much you put up with when things sneak up on you a day at a time. Picked up the truck with the new tires and realized that (1) I could hear my stereo perfectly even at very low volume, (2) the same road was much smoother than it was yesterday, and (3) it actually tracked in a very straight line, instead of needing constant correcting. I think they look great, definitely aggressive enough for me. I am looking forward to seeing my highway mileage with these over the aging Generals.

On the left is the original, taken at about two weeks old; on the right is today with the Hankooks.

Thanks! Yes, exact fit for size. If you look at the specs, they are so close to each other. The Hankook is about 3 pounds lighter per tire, but exactly the same height at 31.6".

Due to the amount of wear you need to do yourself a favor and replace all the tires.this is mainly due to the 4WD
