Every once in a while when our 2019 is started after sitting overnight, it feels like something is spinning up to speed as soon as it starts.
Can the torque converter drain itself overnight? It feels like maybe the torque converter fills and "engages", all this while still in park, it only lasts for 30 seconds.
It's a random thing, happens 3-4 times a month, driven every day.
Sound familiar to anyone? Mileage is now about 50,000 miles, 2WD 2019 .
Thanks

You sure it isn’t the engine cooling fan? They are engaged on startup and release after about 30 seconds. Not sure if this is the same thing you’re talking about but everyone’s truck does that.

As mentioned this is most likely the engine cooling fan. It is an electronic controlled fan clutch and will activate as needed by command of the PCM

there are motors that spin up, fuel pump or Fan (and others) maybe you are hearing one of them, if it was tranny you would feel that not just hear it?

Torque convertors can drain down , but not usually just over night.

Probably your Ranger's resident "Truck Gnome"......sounds like he's starting up his hot tub.
