Come on now. Let’s get a little more original.

Cleveland
Windsor
Coyote

Those are taken and have a place in history stop trying to ride to coat tails of the past. ?

When I popped the hood in daylight for the first time an could see the build sticker; I told someone jokingly "heh, I have a Cleveland". Not sure if I will do it again, but it happened. Just didn't add the displacement to it.

boss 351c 330 hp 370 tq you can make 600 plus with 4v heads
The 2.3 Ecoboost in Mustang or Focus RS trim makes more HP than any V8 Ford ever put in a Mustang prior to 2005 with the exception of the 03, 04 Cobras.

Prior to 72 the manufacturers reported HP as a gross number, that is, without water pumps, alternators, air cleaners, exhaust, etc. They were even known to use headers, non stock carbs & cams to get a number. In 72 the government mandated that the HP be reported with the engine configured exactly as it would be installed in the vehicle. The result was approximately a 1/3 drop in HP starting in 72.

That 330 HP would be approximately 220 HP if it had been measured using today's SAE net methodology.

I like how people say it was just the tire tech that made them so slow (stock) in the 1/4. Maybe a bit, but they were also bullshitting the power output relative to today.

Some still try and cheat.....

Or do the opposite and under report for insurance (?) reasons

It's hilarious that people who don't even know engines are trying to name them.

@jb1racing

Is apparently the only person here who knows the difference between a big block and a small block.

It's a 2.3L EB. Anybody with any automotive knowledge knows what it is.

FYI, Ford goes by engine family/series. there is no small or big block FORD engines. :rockon:
Ok smart guy. How come those who apparently know all about this subject are speaking about “small block bolt patterns” and “Big Block bolt patterns” huh?
