Looking for some ideas, I know this board is full of members with some awesome ideas.

I just bought a new Viair 300P air compressor and I don't want to open up my hood every time I need to use it.

Anyone install some 12V terminals on the outside of their trucks for a quick connection of air compressors, inverters, etc.?

I was thinking of possibly running a lead somewhere, with an Anderson connector at the end. Maybe near the front grill somewhere.

Pics would be awesome if you have them.

Thank you

Anderson connectors are not weatherproof, so they are not good for this type of use.

SAE 2-pin connectors (like a trailer 4-pin) are weatherproof, but are not good for high power. You can also get them connected in reversed polarity if you are not careful. I have used them on RVs in the past.

I have not found a good connector for what you are trying to do. Hopefully someone else has a suggestion.
