Front Hitch Receiver Kit - Brautigam Expedition Works 19-23 (this is a kit, not welded together)
The kit is New. I decided to go a different direction and did not have the kit assembled so it can still be welded with the 2" receiver centered or offset for adaptive cruise sensors.
Last two...
Rules require an asking price. Some of those sets had blem wheels, etc. Some did not include unused spare. Feel free to keep scrolling if you are not interested. Don't know why you felt the need to post...
Wheels are in excellent condition (tires have 40K miles). Were never used offroad. (includes spare tire/wheel). Located in Essex County, New Jersey. Asking $675
This is exactly the use I was thinking of. Just removing a few cross bars and converting the existing aluminum cover to a hinged unit would be enough to avoid firearm theft. Nobody would think of prying open the tailgate. I have been looking for a hidey-hole and this is a perfect idea for two...
The Auto Start/Stop feature interferes with my auxiliary electronics. I have them wired directly to the battery using a Rough Country controller, but this feature causes an interrupt in current that shuts off my ham radio and all other accessories. It is very disruptive.
The plate is 3" on top and 2.5" on the side (so 5.5" square to start). I had the fabricator measure the angle on my cover as other companies looking to build mounts that use the existing cleat holes claim the angle is different cover to cover. Concerning MPG, I don't keep track of gas mileage...
Given the high cost of full rack systems and the lack of availability of simple mounts on the market, I fashioned my own by having someone bend a 5.5" plate of 3/16" steel at a 41 degree angle at the 3" mark. Countersink the bottom for M6 flat head bolts and purchase two new 5/16-18 2.5" bolts...
So I guess they were only referring to grounding for purposes of interference, etc. I will look into this further. If aluminum serves as a good ground plane the diamondback cover should serve well for HF antennas too.
The diamondback is aluminum so I don't think you can get it to act as a ground plane. My shop told me it was not necessary on 2 meter or 70cm bands and I think he is correct as I get excellent signal reports even when I am dozens of miles away from our local repeaters. He advised to run a...
Diamond Antenna trunk mount. Simply remove the trunk lip portion of the mount and drill out the hole to fit the hinge bolts. Coax does not move and opening or removal of DiamondBack panels does not get in the way. Sometimes, the simple solutions are the best.
FYI. Just received an email from xtrusiondesigns.com advising they are working on a support bracket that bolts to the existing cleat holes!!! This will open up a bunch of DIY mounting options.
How did I not know that this 80/20 existed??? I just checked on a site and they will custom cut sections of all different sizes and configurations at any angle and provide the fasteners and joints that work with it. This particular t-track will allow me to place fork mounts at an angle... Good...
I want to run a piece of aluminum from one cleat to another across the Diamondback cover. My ideal solution would be to bolt something in place of the existing cleats with tamper resistant hardware so I can attach some fork mount bike racks. I want to avoid drilling into the cover as I may end...
