I usually keep mine at 31-32, especially in Spring/Fall when the temperature fluctuates a lot. I don't like it when it cools off one day at the tires end up at 28.

Have you tested the torque on that bolt to see if it is still good? Or use a paint pen?

Good to know, thanks for replying. For me, I was trying to get the bolt through when the shock slipped out. The nut dropped at the same time and I didn't put enough focus on that side leading to the error. I will use the blue loc tite and see how it goes.

Would thread locker not work here, maybe in addition to a lock washer?

I was able to fix the top of the tab and the left side to a point. The right side is crushed completely. I'm not able to move it at all.

Success!! I used the tap as many of you suggested and it worked. A small amount of metal fragments came out so I suspect the bolt started to cross thread at some point. All is good. Thanks for all of the advice.

One of the bolt holes for a tie down is stripped (damaged). I read that I can use a tapered tap 8x1.25 to fix the threads. Is it that easy? Is there something I should know before doing this?
