Tailgate does fine, Id rather ride but sometimes weather does not cooperate.
This one weighs way more that the little KLR, 500 miles give or take on that trip
The reason I didnt ride down, lol
Im surprised I havent seen anything on here about this as its happened to most of my trucks, maybe I just drive more gravel than most.
Anyway, it always seems the front bottom corner of the bed gets sand blasted with gravel over time. I know this is a reality, but I cant totally avoid driving...
Welcome, nice truck!
Had my bike out this week, but its a dirty dual sport, might want to wait a bit on the RT, lol. Supposed to be 10 here today, time to put the sled away and ride the bike I guess
27 years of 12 hour shifts, 3 on 3 off. days then nights repeat. Been on 8 hr days for the last 4 years and it took some time to get used to 5 days a week.
This happened on mine a couple years ago just after I got it, like you only wet or slushy weather. I tired greasing 4 and 7 pin, still did it, so I took apart the main plug behind the bumper and greased it up and its been fine ever since.
Finally got some good Lake Effect snow last few days, unfortunately the wind was off a bit so it didn't get to my area and I had to trailer a half hour north.
No Ranger, but it pulled the trailer that got me here?
Mine seems to read an average 10.6-10.8, fairly flat down here in SW Ont. farm land. 50km each way to work, 90kph secondary roads, which you run 100 on, and a few stop signs, very little highway. I'm just a few days past 2 yrs of ownership and sitting just over 55,000 klicks
When I first got it...
Pretty much the same as above, installed in Feb. 2019, still going strong. Get occasional drips of water inside, the last few days there has been 4 or 5 inches of snow melting on it so Ive seen a bit of water inside, but for the most part its pretty dry.
Tried Joes already, no go for Joe:sunglasses:
This is rural Lake effect country, nothing will beat a dedicated snow tire but Im good with an all terrain for year round. I ran at least a dozen sets of BFGs on different trucks and they did well in most conditions. The last couple sets after they...
If I could find the Falkens Id have them on by now, but they seem to be unobtanium around here. Canadian Tire actually has them as a special order tire, my local parts girls says they are a "container tire" meaning a shipping container shows up at the supplier and thats your stock until the next...
Interesting, it looks damn near identical to my Extang solid fold 2.0, front clips are different, other than that pretty close. Certainly looks decent for the price on first glance:thumbsup:
IF you stay on the gas it might not shift back out of 4wd, I usually just let off the pedal for a sec. and it drops out quickly.
Dotto on the dont use on dry pavement:)
I think Ive posted most of these before, but why not. My Ranger or Ranger based vehicles, since the mid 80,s
84, 4x4 5spd, stock, great truck! IIRC, it was a "Explorer" model before the actual Explorer existed
87 STX, 4x4, 5spd, stock, same! buddys 92 or so ranger and another buddys...
I ended up unplugging it behind the bumper and putting dielectric grease on the connectors, I also lubed up the 7 and 4 pin connectors and its been good since.
