Probably a small amount but I haven't noticed any loss in power. Someone did the math on the amount of air that can escape a 1/16 hole under boost and it was a fraction of a percent.
Also, since I'm here, it's been 14 months and 20k+ miles since I put the weep hole in. I haven't had a single...
FWIW Mt Antero is probably a nogo until next summer. I was riding my dirtbike at FourMile yesterday and im pretty sure one of those snowcaps is Antero.
Conditions at FourMile are great on both sides of 285 though. There's plenty of trails that a bone stock 2wd ranger could do. Just dont go...
Just piling onto the stack here. Harbor freight grinder with metal cuttoff wheel, a hand powered hacksaw I had laying around, and a socket set were all the tools I needed to get the crash bars off in about a half hour. It really is super simple, the metal cutoff wheel cuts through the crashbars...
I have had the collision avoidance kick in many times as well as annoying adaptive cruise control braking when there's nothing in front of me but those are definitely different than what I have personally experienced with engine studdering under certain conditions.
Yea totally agree on them handling quite well in snow. But there is a limit to what software can do and these chains are my way of hedging in case I need more. Notification this morning said expect 2-4 feet where I am ?.
Anyone planning on driving their Rangers in the deep snow this weekend?
I had to test fit my chains yesterday to make sure they fit on my new tires. Was tight but they fit.
Figure I should post my setup in here now that i've got it setup to my liking. This truck rocks, so happy every time I drive it.
Fox 2.0 Leveling Kit
1" faction fab wheel adapters
275/65/18 Wrangler Duratracs
Bora intrusion beams
Livernois softer shift performance tune
Bakflip MX4 bed cover
Good to know. Crash bars are already replaced now though. No rubbing with the BDS intrusion bars, I even took it down some trails yesterday to try and get it to rub while flexing at full lock, not even close now. I love my setup at this point.
For what it's worth, I installed 275/65R18 Duratracs this week on mine. I have the FOX 2.0 level kit set to default height (2"). Also have 1" adapters and stock wheels. I personally get ALOT of rubbing with my setup. I've loosened the front crash bars and pushed them as far forward as possible...
My plans changed due to the tires I wanted not being available. Im going to backoff on "wanting to buy" an additional set of rims for now. Thanks for all the replies.
Thanks for the replies guys. Yea I'm not sure what shipping would cost. Not trying to pit you guys against each other so feel free to just DM me on what you are willing to let them go for. I'd obviously much rather find something local but will consider if shipping doesn't turn out to be insane.
5-star. They did their best to make it right for me, even put my truck on their Dyno for free. But at the end of the day their tune just didnt work right for me. I've made several other posts about it on here.
I asked them for the soft shift last week and have been running it for a couple hundred miles now. Gotta say it's precisely what I was looking for. They call it "Softer shift" too, not soft. Important distinction because the default perf tune shifts really hard in my opinion and this tune shifts...
Looking for a set of factory 17" magnetic sport wheels. I only need the wheels, dont need the factory tires. TPMS preferred. I'm located in the Denver metro area but can drive to meet if needed.
That spot on the intercooler is definitely exposed. You can see in one of my photos that there's a gap under my weep hole that goes all the way down to the skid plate. I think a dremel could possibly get to it but honestly I'm not positive.
Btw, I have not had the problem again since doing this.
Had to remove the front grill and then press down on the intercooler really hard while pulling outwardly on the top of the intercooler. It still didn't want to come out and took some serious force. I honestly don't know if I removed it how ford intended because I tried for a long time to...
