Just watch a few youtube videos and you will get it if you are computer saavy....One tip I will offer is dont touch any "As Built" files. While some guys do, I think its too easy to screw something up especially if you dont have a back-up file. Craig
  7. Impressed with FORScan

OK so this is old hat for most of ya'll. I felt compelled to post as I recently remarked about the "Honeymoon is over" regarding some dislikes about my '21 Ranger XLT 4 x 4. Shortly after I bought the truck (1.5 months ago) I got FORScan and disabled Auto Stop-Start. There were several items...

Just did the ABS Bleed procedure and ABS module reset and my preliminary test reveals a much better pedal feel. Hope it lasts. Craig
  9. Now that the Honeymoon is over....

So we've had our Ranger XLT 4 X 4 now for a couple months and now that the novelty has worn off, below are a few of the issues I have discovered that I'm unhappy with. 1) Hood alignment is pathetic. Mostly where it meets the fenders and grill/headlights. 2) Both rear doors appear they close...
  10. Sirius/XM volume drop after Android Auto direction

Guys, I know this probably has to do with installing a Tailgate damper but here goes... New Ranger owner (2021 XLT) and noted in most cases if I'm listing to XM at say, Volume level 15, when a GPS directive comes in via Android Auto the volume drops to like 9. I read a post that suggested it...

  12. Drive modes?

I knew about the TM for the FX4's but apologize for the confusion about the shifter mode button. I thought I saw it somewhere that there were different drive modes you could select....Serious case of CMS (Cant remember $hit). Craig
  13. Drive modes?

On my XLT sport 4 x 4 I dont have the TM button on the 4wd dial. I was referring to the drive modes some have on the shifter. I dont have that button either so the only "mode" I can switch to is the Trailer button. Craig
  14. Drive modes?

Yes, I understand there is "Terrain Management" and "Drive modes" on older units.....My 4 x 4 has neither. :-( Craig
  15. Drive modes?

Interesting....I did just buy an ELM327 so I could do that......With the regular drive modes (if my truck had it) is there an Eco mode? Craig
  16. Drive modes?

Those BASTARDS!!!! F'in Bean counters!!!! Craig
  17. Drive modes?

Stupid question......On my '21 Ranger XLT Sport 4 x 4......Is it supposed to have drive modes? I dont have a button on shifter nor a Terrain management button on 4 x 4 dial. Craig
  18. Reality Check....

We have a Forest River Surveyor 201RBS. Ours is about 4200 UVW and about 5500 GVW I haven't weighed the tongue weight on a scale but I suspect its about 650-700 Lbs with the weight distributing hitch installed. The Ranger pulls ours like butter! Craig
  19. 18,564.2 miles, and throwing-in the towel

OK, just ordered my TGD. They came with a free pair of crocs. Daughter says the croc holes are for your manhood to ooze out.......Oye Vey! Craig
  20. 18,564.2 miles, and throwing-in the towel

Guys, at 54 I decided I need Tailgate Damper. I know, a Man-bunn is next right? Is the Dee Zee DZ43206 the way to go? Craig
