Drive modes?

Stupid question......On my '21 Ranger XLT Sport 4 x 4......Is it supposed to have drive modes? I dont have a button on shifter nor a Terrain management button on 4 x 4 dial.

They deleted those for cost reduction in 21 models...along with glovebox damper, PRNDL light, and bunch other stuff you don't need... ?

It is possible to add them. You just need to buy the switch with the TM button on it and enable it with forscan. (If you really want the feature)

Interesting....I did just buy an ELM327 so I could do that......With the regular drive modes (if my truck had it) is there an Eco mode?

Note that the terrain modes are NOT drive modes, and are only available in 4WD. Enabling a Terrain Mode when in 2WD will engage 4HI.

As far as “drive modes”, in addition to the normal drive mode, you have tow/haul mode (button on the console) and sport mode (S on the shifter). The terrain modes only come with the FX4 package. In reality, the normal drive mode on this truck is the “eco mode”.

Yes, I understand there is "Terrain Management" and "Drive modes" on older units.....My 4 x 4 has neither. :-(

They must of discontinued the glovebox dampener mid 2021. My 2021 has it.

What other Drive modes are you talking about?? All we've ever had are D, S and Tow mode along with the Terrain Modes on the FX4. All 4x4s have 2hi, 4hi and 4lo.

I thought I read you can get terrain modes just by buying the switch. Forscan only activates the display on the screen. Anyone know if that's accurate?

And no stop plugs in rocker panel.... Just a shit ton of holes unplugged. Kinda like QA department went on strike for 21 model because fit and finish def lacks in several areas
