My new running boards came in today so I took a quick 45 minutes to install them. I like the blade look much better than the OEM ones it came with. Super sturdy and easy to install.
If anybody wants a pair of factory OEM running boards at a heck of a discount and lives near Michigan's Upper...
At 53,360 miles I finally ditched my Firestone XT's and went with the Falcon Wildpeak's. Size 265/70R17. I do have the Ford Tuned Fox lift on my truck. I really like the more aggressive look. My Firestone's were 255/75R17 and I prefer the wider 265 plus the Wildpeak's run a tad big.
I'm looking to upgrade the tires on my 2019 Ranger with some General Grabber A/TX tires in 265/70 R17 from Discount Tire as they have a $80 rebate going on right now and I get a 5% military veteran discount. My question is they are the 115ST RWL version and I do not want Raised White Letters...
On my last oil change at 51K my dealer told me I had 3mm of rear pads left and would be due. I have a great relationship with my garage but they want $1200 to replace all four corners and I can do it myself at my work garage and save some money. Detroit Axle has the best pricing and great...
Started hearing a whining noise so I brought my Ranger into the dealer. Ended up being the carrier bearing so they'll replace the entire two-piece drive shaft. Only 31,000 mi on it so under warranty. But hopefully this isn't a continuing problem. Why Ford hasn't gone to a one-piece drive shaft...
Here's an interesting graph showing sales trends over the past several years. You can certainly see why Ford and GM are making a huge push towards the EV market. I think Ford will be okay if they play their cards right but GM is in big trouble. Ford is being smart about it and going after the...
It wasn't supposed to snow today so after work yesterday I gave her a bath and shined her up. As is typical the weatherman was wrong! ?
Had to go pick up my daughter at the airport in Iron Mountain which is about a 60 mi drive so she got a bit snow covered and icy. Such as life in the U.P. of...
Well it's officially winter in the Upper Peninsula, 10 in of snow last night on top of the 6 we got earlier in the week. @AzScorpion bring that warm weather Ranger of yours up here for a little fun in the snow. ??
Was on my way to Green Bay to pick my daughter up at the airport and passed this Santa Cruz on the highway. Not a bad looking little crossover, I refuse to call it a truck cuz it's actually an SUV with a little bed. ?
I do think Hyundai will sell a bunch of these as will Ford with the...
I received a pleasant surprise in the mail today from Ford motor company, a $250 loyalty credit card for being a good customer. They sent it based on some issues I had with my Ranger. It's spent about 10 days in the shop getting a new computer module which wasn't a big deal because they did...
In all the reviews I've watched and read on the new Ranger most seem to hate the interior. I'm not sure I truly understand why as I feel it's pretty well laid out with nice easy to reach controls. Yes the buttons for the temp control may be a bit small but everything is accessible on screen...
My infotainment system just upgraded last week to the latest all on it's own. While I love the new layout as I think it's much more usable and provides more information, it has a couple bugs that annoy me.
Every so often Sirius XM bugs out and won't play. No signal or anything. The radio...
Ford wants $109 for a set of red tow hooks. Rust-Oleum is only $4.79 a can. Pretty much a no-brainer. ?
Super easy to do, 15 mm and a quick removal of the skid plate and you have full access. You don't even need to take off the back bolts as there are slots that hold up the skid plate and tow...
I' m coming up on the one year anniversary of my 19 Ranger so I decided I'd book it on NADA to see what it comes in at. Whoa, what a surprise! It's a 2019 that I picked up last May with FX4, technology package, towing, liner and boards with 10,800 miles on it. I paid $39,100 from the dealer...
So I've been fighting the vibration that many others have and I'm wondering if lowering the front end a 1/2 inch to 3/4 of an inch will help? I have the Ford Tuned Fox 2.0 lift set at 2 inches in the front and also I'm running 255/75R17 tires. The Ford lift was bought from the Ford dealer and...
Just passed 10,600 miles and I hear the turbos like clean air filters. Thinking of changing it out as low cost maintenance and thoughts on Wix air filters?
So tomorrow I'm bringing my 2019 FX4 in for the dealer to complete TSB 2277 and 2339 for the vibration issues. It was hardly noticeable until my dealer installed the Ford Tuned Fox 2.0 leveling kit and the 255/75R17 tires.
Regarding the drivetrain angle measurement, I'm wondering if it would...
