I wanted to do a black/red color scheme and I found these wheels. I also ghave my Raptor grille ready to put in this week and the grilles is black but the FORD letters are black face with red surround. It's an Icon stage 3 lift... they come preset at about 2.5" and can go to maybe 3.5"...

What gauge steel do you think the bumper shell is made of?

+25mm. I didn't want to push them too far because it causes tire scrub when turning. There is plenty of room behind the wheel/tire and it doesn't protrude too far from the fender.

I finished the stage 3 front suspension. The rear has not shipped to me yet, I expect them this week. I like the ride height, not too tall so it fits in my garage with a 7' door. There is still a little forward rake which I am happy with, but the front was noticeably higher when I finished...

I'm waiting for my Icon rear reservoir shocks to get here. I have my front done. So far I like it. I have Icons on my 4Runner for three years now and do a lot of overlanding and they are great off road.

I just had my new tires and wheels installed. The tires are BFG KO2 A/T 285/70R17 and the wheels are Vision Fury 8.5x17" I think they fit nicely and don't stick out too far from the fender, probably an inch if that much.

New wheels and tires are on. Front suspension done. I'm waiting for Icon to ship the rear reservoir shocks, probably this week.

I believe they are 2 1/2" I'll post a pic of them on the truck tomorrow. I like the way they came set. The front end is definitely higher with still a small rake. I will have to re-aim headlights for sure

Here is a follow up, in case any of you run into this problem. The outer cv joint is very likely to separate and if you try to jam it back together you will probably bugger the splines on the end of the shaft. Also, the snap ring will probably fall off into the boot grease somewhere. The fix...

I couldn't get mine in, but I removed the boot and saw the problem... the snap ring came off and the end of the half shaft got buggered a bit. I took a triangle file to the splines and cleaned them up. Replaced the snap ring and was able to work it back together.

Well, I was trying to install my new shocks and I, like others, inadvertently pulled the left front half shaft apart at the wheel hub. I've been following the maintenance manual to disassemble the hub and remove the half shaft so I can inspect it and fix it, but I can't get the wheel bearing...

I just popped mine out today. I'll let you know how hard they are to repair

That's my intention also. Keep it low enough to get into the garage. That way I can hoist the RTT on and off to my garage ceiling also.

Going taller is the issue. The tires contact the intrusion beams in front of and behind the tire assembly. Wider isn't that much of a factor as long as you have the proper offest or backspace to clear the suspension parts.

Part of my Stage 3 Icon suspension is here. The rear reservoir shocks won't be in until the 18th or so. I hope to have these bad boys on by tomorrow, and my new wheels/tires on by Thursday!

RangerB pointed me to the service manual on this site. I was able to find the torque values in there.

If you decide to go back, let me know. I'm always up for adventure. I just did the Mojave Road last month, but it was in my 4Runner. My Ranger is in the middle of a build. Hope to be ready soon.

Does anyone know the torque values for the Ranger suspension components? I can't find any info online anywhere. I'm installing my Icon suspension kit and it says to torque to "factory specs" on some items. Icon should indlude them in the install guide.
