The dealer had my vehicle all morning trying to figure out what is going on. Nothing they did changed a thing so they sent it to the next higher level and will call me to come back in when they have an answer to this problem.
I had auto update on. Once this is fixed it will be turned off.
For 40 years I wrote software. Sometimes when you fix a problem and don’t test correctly the change creates problems like this. Doesn’t happen often but it does happen.
Sitting at my Ford dealer this morning for maintenance. I mentioned the sync3 issues and they confirmed it was a software update that caused this. The fix is being worked on was what they told me.
One question I do have since I worked with computers most of my life, is there a way to roll back a version on Sync? I doubt there is as I looked and saw nothing in settings.
Once this is fixed I will not allow updates anymore but that may not help as the developer can still sneak...
Well, I reached a decision today. I owned Fords from 1986 to 1999 before finally giving up and buying Toyotas. Heck my last mid size truck was a Tacoma, never a bad problem in 230 k.
I remember when Ford put the new Ranger out in 2019 I had doubts about the transmission but purchased one...
This morning I took my 2019 Lariat in for this problem. Talking to the service manager I told him about this post and the EGR solution. Fortunately for me he owns a Ranger and agreed on the cause and solution. Unfortunately they did not have the part and it should be in next week.
He...
I am so glad someone pointed me here. For the most part I'm happy with my Ranger but I've owned enough new vehicles to be tired of hearing "that's acceptable" from a dealer. Trying to sweep it under the rug hoping you'll give up.
My mind was made up that if they couldn't fix it I was...
At 39k I seem to have a problem that showed up. When driving at a steady speed of 25 to 35 mph it feels like the torque converter locks and unlocks over and over. I can feel the vehicle bucking though not violently. Mentioned it to the dealer when I had an oil change and they tried to...
You saved my sanity! Can't tell you how grateful I am, one on the front and one on the back just keep going off. When temps get about 35 degrees they're fine.
Now I will keep disabling them till May when temps here start to get into the 40s.
I own a 2019 Ranger Lariat that I bought when they first became available. This is really my first major complaint about the vehicle since owning it.
Is there any way to disable the sensors that detect obstacles around you. This is the worst winter since owning the truck and the sensors...
I test drove 2 vehicles before I made my choice. The first was a Lariat FX4 and I did not like the ride. The second vehicle was a Lariat without the FX4. Before I drove one mile I noticed a smoother ride, it came home with me.
That's pretty much what I'm complaining about. It didn't care that the FOB was inside the truck and locked the doors. Usually I leave the FOB in the console because I hate that the truck beeps if I step out of the door. Ford Pass locked it when I told it to start, but I expected it would...
I bought my Lariat in April 2019 and have never really had a complaint that got my blood pressure up till today.
Made a trip to the pharmacy this evening. When I went inside I left the FOB and keys laying on the console. Because this vehicle heats up so slowly while inside I used Ford...
