Mine only shifts oddly when it's in the 'S'hit mode. I think the S should be changed to a ? because you never know what your going to get. "S"hit mode holds the revs way too much under light or no throttle, downshifts are even worse and doesn't seem to go past 6th gear. Throttle response is...
I have a 2020 SCAB Extended Cab (I wanted the longer bed).
I ordered some window vents which they didn't specifically like for an extended cab... but I bought them away.
I was surprised to learn the SCAB doors are longer. Lesson learned... no windows vents for me.
I'd like to order some...
Having put a nice looking stereo in my Audi that I found on Amazon, I would never go this route again. And in fact less than a year later ripped it out to install a "Kenwood" unit. Before buying any aftermarket Stereo, you should take into consideration the boot time or startup time of the head...
I would have Ford fix it, while you are under warranty. As there will be more updates down the road.
You can take a look at Cyanlabs and download updates via usb. Note it takes a bit over an hour to do a complete update. Sync 3.2 - 3.3, 3.3 - 3.4 It's like connecting to the internet via...
I personally had a 4.6 and did the soak the plugs method for 48 hours before removing.... I broke 3 of the 8. Ford wanted over $2000 to pull the heads. I bought a special tool to extract them, but it was NOT fun. My vehicle was down for 2 weeks.
They are doing this now with Sync 4 (You have to PAY a subscription to have Navigation). They don't want to pay Apple and Android the $36 in royalties and just want profit. Sadly these are the same bean counters that at Ford removed the 'engine cover' from the ranger and will be dealing with the...
Flashbacks to the Ford V8 Spark Plug fiasco in the 4.6 and 5.4 Triton motors. Some dealers charged customers to remove the heads to remove broken spark plugs. Another one of Fords brilliant ideas. For those that haven't see a F150 spark plug, on a 3v head they go into the aluminum head where...
I agree with you 100%, Working the side button is a joke. Most cars have a bang shifter (+/-) but still, it's a Auto.
The Paddles IMO make for a nice drivers experience to pop down a gear. I had them in my Audi and did use them from time to time.
I like your analogy, except this isn't fake. I realize it's not for everyone. Most of your European cars have paddle shifters in them. It's nice to hold shifts, downshift and just have the extra control.
I have always been a manual transmission guy, (and if I had the choice in the Ranger I...
Wow, yeah I couldn't even get my hand into that connector. It's under the shifter and decided the console would need to come out, but wasn't up to it.
I just wanted to do a proof of concept to see if it was even possible.
I bought a Explorer wheel with paddles and I also bought some...
I would guess it would have something to do with how much UV exposure it has gotten. I removed mine from my 2020 last year and did a wash and wax (Gray paint color) and you can't tell it was ever there. I'm not a fan of stickers on my vehicles so that usually the first thing I remove.
Just have to make it level, which is pretty darn easy as the front of the unit it flat. Not hard at all. Yes it works correctly. Yes I realize it's not for everyone. but I like the fact that it will follow vehicles in front of me and brake when needed. One of the best upgrades I have done to my...
Disagree, I added Adaptive Cruise and LOVE it. It's so useful I use it all the time. Cost was about $200 (used radar unit off e-bay $99, and a aftermarket mount $40 amazon, and some wire and a $65 steering wheel button).
