I've seen 6 in lift kits that advertised the ability to fit 35s.
Fabtech says you can fit 33s on their 3.5 inch lift that includes new crash bars. This is the lift I plan on going with.
With that said you might be able to fit 35s if you are determined enough. ;)
I don't know for sure. I've been told it has to do with the pistons/rings getting a little wear. It could also be the things you mentioned.
I would think this only applies to the "break in" period. I would imagine at some point the engine would get so much wear that MPG would start to decrease...
This was similar to my experience.
Although I originally wanted a Ranger since I already owned one and I've owned several Explorers. They were going to make me a killer deal on the F150 (about 12k off sticker) because it was a service loaner with 2500 miles and aged inventory and black Friday...
Yes but I got the nicest Ranger for only slightly more than a stripped down F150.
Also, the dealer only had XLT and Lariat Rangers on the lot. I got the Ranger with the most options on the lot and got it for nearly 7K less than sticker. Sticker for sticker the F150 STX FX4 and Ranger Lariat...
Very nice review! I agree with her assessment. I test drove an STX FX4 F150 that was 3K cheaper after negotiations than what I ended up paying for my Ranger Lariat FX4 and I couldn't be happier with my decision. I got everything I wanted and more than I needed in the Ranger.
Getting better the more miles I put on it. I do a lot of interstate driving and love using my adaptive cruise. Lariat Crew Cab FX4. This has never been reset so I'm probably getting slightly better now.
I can attest that the Ranger is not squirrely at high speeds. I've hit the speed limiter (109) and felt completely in control and firmly planted to the pavement. I wouldn't be afraid to go even faster than the speed limiter allows.
I commute 80 miles one way to work every day, most of...
Have you noticed any performance improvement? On the Magnaflow website it says the system was dyno tested, but it doesn't give any numbers and I couldn't find any corresponding dyno charts.
I really like the look and sound of the dual tip system, but curious about the performance aspect...
I, like most people, come to this forum looking for advice, guidance and ideas. Very few, if any come to this forum looking to have negative comments to their posts. I try not to post unless I can add value to a thread. I have seen numerous posts from you on a varying degree of topics where you...
Why, because you say there isn't? You are arguing semantics.
He meant dual pipes coming out of the muffler as opposed to one pipe with dual tips and I'm pretty sure you knew that. Take out the word 'true' and I assume you have no issue with his statement.
I see you posting all over this forum...
Hey Phil,
Can you post a pic when installed? I have a White Platinum with chrome package also. Trying to decide between black or chrome letters.
Thanks,
Coby
I never thought this was something I would want or need...
Then over Thanksgiving (right before I bought my Ranger) I went hunting with my brother and step-dad and his F-150 had a dampened tailgate.
I soon realized that when you have two coon dogs on a leash, a light, tracking collars, etc...
Thanks. I was lucky this truck was aged inventory so that helped with price and I got another $500 for being a Farm Bureau member and they gave me $2000 (that's more than retail value) on my 1996 Ranger to try to come close to price matching a high volume dealer that was an hour away.
The XLTs...
