  1. USB port and voltage meter gai

Our resident retired Ford engineer Phil Schilke has commented on another thread about the outlets timing out after two hours. I wish I could remember what thread that was. I believe it was a question about 4-down towing and using the 12V for the toad brake without direct power from the battery.
  2. FordPass Rewards Visa from First Bank Card

That's exactly what we are doing. I wish I could've done this in the years where I had kids and was blowing through a lot more money!!! Even in retirement, though, it's nice to see my SkyMiles going up each month just for paying bills.
  3. FordPass Rewards Visa from First Bank Card

See how many of your monthly expenses can be put on your AmEx, as well. Not only does it make one less place that has your checking info, it builds up those points quickly! :)
  4. Car wash for the lazy owner

Stalker! ??? Yes, it is the Monster Wash on US 1. They do a nice job for twenty bucks per month, especially when the same wash is $10 per without the monthly plan. The one in Sarasota is the Coastal Express up on 70 by Lockwood Ridge. That place is killer.
  5. Car wash for the lazy owner

I gave up on that a long time ago. If I was going to a show and wanted it primo, then yes, I "might" put that much attention into it. Life is too short to worry about a small scratch or some dirt/dust here or there. We've gotten a million compliments on our two MB convertibles through the...
  6. FordPass Rewards Visa from First Bank Card

If I may chime in, here. I used debit cards from their inception in the early 80's until a couple of years ago. I won't use one now unless I'm absolutely forced to, which so far I haven't been. I put everything on one credit card (mine is currently a Delta-branded Amex Platinum card) and pay...
  7. Towing 4 Down

We are a 2020 Bounder, also on the 2019 F53. We are pushing (pulling!) every bit of our 24K GVWR (within 500 pounds) and 4900 more with our Explorer, so we are within a couple hundred pounds of our 29K GCWR. With the exact same V10 engine and 6-speed transmission, we have never had any issues...
  8. Well, now that the B&P for 2021 is up, ...

Go figure. The orange color is not available in Texas! :giggle:
  9. Car wash for the lazy owner

Having lived in Florida for the past three years, I'm stunned at the quality and price of car washes down here! The one that I used in the Sarasota area was only $25 per month, unlimited use (once per day, max), free vacuums, free floor mat sweeper machines, towels for drying, etc. The one in...
  10. Towing 4 Down

Good to hear, ROUS. I'm looking at 300 pounds in the other direction from my current Explorer, which pretty much maxes out my 5K towing capabilities. Glad it went well for you.
  11. Well, now that the B&P for 2021 is up, ...

The orange is there for me. It looks sweet but the red nostrils don't play nicely with it at all.
  12. Well, now that the B&P for 2021 is up, ...

So, I went back and rotated through the pics to make sure the front and back were the magnetic and this is what I discovered! YIKES!!! Which one is correct? I am assuming the one on the right. (?)
  13. Well, now that the B&P for 2021 is up, ...

I just went through the configurator and built four different Lariat Rangers. This is what Ford says the front end will look like on each:
  14. Well, now that the B&P for 2021 is up, ...

Get something in writing on that. I don't have official figures but I just went to edmunds.com and "built" my loaded to the gills Tremor Lariat and they only show about $2K difference between invoice and MSRP.
  15. Well, now that the B&P for 2021 is up, ...

Congrats! So, about $1500 off, or so?
  16. Well, now that the B&P for 2021 is up, ...

Yeah, if you order one right now, there are zero incentives out. I just had my dealer up in Michigan give me a lease quote based on the build that I wanted, and being an A/Z plan. It was WAY higher than I expected, but even my dealer said this would be the highest because there was no...
  17. Well, now that the B&P for 2021 is up, ...

Well, since these are not necessities but (instead) are desires, this tells us that Ford has done it correctly. They couldn't do these things if demand was not where it is. I don't begrudge a company for that.
  18. Well, now that the B&P for 2021 is up, ...

Yeah, I see what you mean. The package looks really nice with a very light color (white or silver) or in black. That dark gray (while I love it) does tend to fight with the other things going on. EDIT: But, when I look at it from the side-view (which I didn't before), I really like it. It...
  19. Well, now that the B&P for 2021 is up, ...

The dark gray is sweet, but for us, it doesn't match up with our motorhome, and we want it to look great while it's behind us. It might sound crazy, but it is the way a lot of full-timers think! :D As for the grill, I'm going to see if I get used to it. If not, I'll probably spend a couple...
  20. How ridiculous is it that you STILL can't build and price a 2021 Ranger on Ford's website in January 2021???

Yep. I'd pull up in my Tremor, thinking I was totally BA, and then...oh, I just remembered, I need to turn right and take THIS road instead!!!
