The house I grew up in (Glendale AZ native) had one of those huge saguaro cacti. Seeing these numbers is always a welcome reminder of how incredible these cacti are.
I have replaced mine on a previous camper shell and I remember the weighting being in the 20-30lb range. I'd go with something similar to what Carl posted.
An Electronic Locker uses an electronic signal to tie both axle shafts together (aka lock the differential). There are other forms of lockers like Air lockers for example. If you want a mechanical locker then you're looking for a 'spool'. This is where you weld the axles to be locked.
An LSD...
My Remington 597 turned into a machine gun when the injection molded sear wore down. That was a fun surprised to discover at the local range!
Modern Remington earned their bankruptcy
This forum is for the 2019-2023 Ranger (aka 5th gen). You may receive better feedback/advice on the 6g forum.
But I dig the look of the new gen and I've had great luck with my 5g so I say go for it.
I was doing a little searching around and found that the 2.3L Bronco had a TSB for alternator placement. Ford rectified this with shielding (Part # MB3Z-10317-K). Have any of you tried this on your Ranger?
I don't plan on doing water crossings but would love the shielding given all the...
I had mine sprayed by Linex and have not felt the need for any drop in solution since. I have not observed gouges or chips in the liner from hauling things like yard working equipment, rocks, firewood, or ammo cans.
The Linex is 'harder' than other liners, almost having a plastic texture more...
Note - you may still want to order the spring compressor. I found the one my local O'Reillys had was too thick to fit between the coils on the Ford+Fox 2.0 struts.
Many auto parts stores will allow you to borrow a spring compressor for the day. As long as you take your time you should have no problem swapping out new struts. I like to use hand tools to tighten each side of the compressor a handful of turns max. You can probably do it faster with an impact...
A rear locker and a good set of tires is the way to go. Bonus if you increase articulation. My old 2006 Colorado WT was 2 wheel drive. After throwing on a good set of tires alone it proved capable off-road (I ran mingus mountain in it back when I lived in AZ).
A rear locker would be a cost...
Very slick! I'm much more impressed by this than those Decked systems where you give up 65% of storage under the bedrails for two tiny pul out drawers.
Browsing the forums when I heard about the rear spark plug water intrusion issue (thanks 2 piece cowl 😠). I was unable to find good pictures showing if the JCR cover did or did not cover the 4th sparkplug. I hope the photos will help whoever is considering a JCR engine cover due to this same...
