Figures. I didn't upgrade to the 2.21 files while it was still within the 3 years. I bought it new in April 21 so I should have had another year, but I guess they went by model year, which is bogus! Hell, it's even a Oct build 2020, so I should have gotten until Oct 2023.
Found it. Driver assist, Pre-Collision. Everything is on, except the sensitivity is set to 'normal' with options for low, normal, high.
I guess I probably just reacted fast enough that it decided I didn't need the help :)
Really? I've never seen (or perhaps never noticed) that setting. Now I have to go dig through the menus. I found this on the Ford site.
If a potential collision is detected, an alert sound is emitted and a warning message displays in the message center. If your response is not sufficient...
Thought I'd add myself to this list. Driving back roads trough the mountains of West by God Virginia today, and looked down at the console for a few seconds; collision detection starts screaming. Looked up to see the ass end of a car with break lights. I stabbed the brakes and everything in...
The anal jerk that I used to be would ask why didn't he get a new key made before now if he only had one key?
But, the more mature me won't say that. ;)
Oof. I had mice in my old Taco that I drove rarely and it sat in our back yard. They would get into the vents and nest in the interior fan housing. My mechanic called it the "death tilt-a-whirl"
This is my rodent destroyer, the Riddler:
He's an old 18 year-old man now, on heart meds. I'll...
I was involved in a business adventure back in the early 90's. We had a design, got a patent, and our 'competition' had an older tech to do the 'thing' it was designed to do, but made it wireless so you could just install it without wires.
We laughed and laughed, that 'they just patented AIR"...
I'm just learning how to park in the spot. I have learned that I need to pull WAY more forward than the lines.
But with that said, if some A-hole hits my bumper, then that's in them. Seriously. Um, did you not see the car/dumper in front of you?
Haven't you seen some of the totaled Rangers posted on this forum? ;)
ETA: But, I guess I'd rather it be totaled than repaired, but it would suck to happen after just 2 months. Insurance probably wouldn't cover the sale price either I bet.
Not sure this has anything to do with unibody, but the lack of real 4x4 on the Maverick is a negative IMO. Granted, most people buying a maverick won't care, but, yeah.
I don't know if this is why, but a few times I've lost my USBs, and I have to shut down and move the key fob away to let the truck go back to 'sleep' (keyless ignition) and then they come back alive.
Before I would trade in a vehicle today, I'd get a price from Carvana, carmax, and who ever else is out there. Never negotiate the price of a new car if they know you're trading anything in. Leave the new car price negotiation by itself. Get the price, then let them price your trade.
But...
Late to this thread, but I've had my USB's stop working a few times. They have come back alive after I shut the power off and let the truck go to sleep (i.e. walk away with the key fob for 15 minutes... I have push button ignition).
