so i have owned my 2021 fx4 since new. i noticed right away a thump when coming to a stop and also when pulling away from a stop. I also noticed a vibration when accelerating from a stop till about 15mph. I took it in to my selling dealer who applied a tsb where they added shims to the rear...

  11. Horrible shifting after transmission fluid change

20k miles to get the break-in contaminants out, 60k miles to get fresh fluid in there. Then 30k miles after because gearboxes need fluid refreshments to go the distance. A poor mans flush would be best but a drain and fill every 30k miles is best for longevity of a transmission, it's only...
  12. Horrible shifting after transmission fluid change

why i do my own work. BUT unfortunately, these transmissions require you to drop the pan which is something i do not wish to do and have ford blame me so it's going to the dealer at 20k miles or so for it's first change. that way it has 40k miles on factory warranty to mess up- though i do...
  13. transfer case drain and fill bolt torque

Update. I went out and set the torque wrench to 20ft lbs in reverse. The fill plug came out out. Torqued back to 18. I first used my 3/8 racket to get snug. Getting to 18 with tw did move it some. I didn't replace the crush washer as it's the fill plug. The drain I left alone knowing it's at...
  14. transfer case drain and fill bolt torque

I used the same 1/2" Rachet with the hex bit to snug just a hair. Went back with torque wrench and it clicked at 18 ft lbs. So not sure if the drain and fill plugs are too tight or not. If I had to guess I'd say low to mid 20s. Thought abt loosening them and using the torque wrench for the whole...

the seller is trying to get ebay to remove my review. He said in the response to my review, to ebay, that he suggested the correct lug nuts would fix this, and i refused. Ummmmmm, no..
