The EZlift guys claim it seals up just fine. They sell a heavy duty bulb seal as well as the regular topper tape type seal. I keep trying to find videos from people other than the guy selling the lift but theres not much out there. He's been selling the thing for like 8 years though.
Actually one of the planned mods was/is the Topper EZ lift system. I really wanted a GFC type setup but living in Florida makes the cost/benefit ratio way out of range. Now I'm worried about sealing up the topper but you're right some garage door bulb seals could do the trick nicely, maybe...
I wanted to like the Tacoma. I test drove a few of them, new and used. I kept going back to them even after knowing they drive like crap. It's amazing what marketing can do. But after a 5 minute drive in the Ranger I knew it was the truck. The Tacoma does a lot of things well. I like the...
I'm disappointed to learn of all the trouble sealing up the bed for a topper as it was one of the main things I planned on doing with this truck. I had looked at a "bedrug" for the inside and I'm hoping one of those will help keep most of the dust out of it aside from where the topper seals at...
Well its only noticeable if your rear door is open and you're looking for it I suppose. It doesn't bother me I just thought it was odd to see. I'm glad it's not just my truck like this I would be worried it was repainted or something.
When I was washing the truck yesterday I saw something odd. The light hit the inside of the rear door jamb and I saw a lot of blue metallic in the paint that doesn't show up on the exterior of the vehicle. Any ideas why my door jamb looks like this? Does anyone else's?
I've posted up in some other threads already but I suppose another post couldn't hurt. Picked up my Shadow Black STX FX4 a few days before Christmas. Just hit 1000 miles today (but the truck had 400ish on it from a dealer trade when I got it). Just for fun I posted a picture of the only other...
This is one bad ass truck. Its basically what I want mine to be except I'm probably going to throw a topper on it like Duke posted above for camping. But yeah...this is perfection. Good job.
What a great thread. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and there is some good stuff in here you only get by getting out and using the setup to learn what works. I just bought my truck and coincidentally one of the must have features was the 6' bed because my wife and I plan on camping out of the...
I found it and had my local dealer do a dealer trade for it. It was about 350 miles away. February 2020 build date so it had been sitting for awhile. Actually its kind of an odd spec as its the STX but it has all the options like copilot 360, sliding rear window and carpeting. I kinda wish I...
That's too bad about the dogs. I've never been to Cocoa beach but I saw plenty of dogs on the beach in St Augustine. Hope you make another trip down one day!
I decided to take the new truck (and my wife!) to the beach on New Years day. This truck is so great. One of the many reasons I chose it was due to the EPA MPG estimates compared to the competition. This truck did not disappoint. On the way there I averaged 26mpg and I did roughly 10 miles of...
Does anyone make a cover or replacement for the passenger side trim where Ranger is embossed? Not letters but the whole piece? I have an XL so its a dull gray not the shiny gray like XLT has. Or has anyone wrapped it?
