Well I just used a bunch of snap traps around my vehicles and equipment at night with a bunch of kills. Moved everything around to a new area of the project site daily and brought in another operator so we could run round the clock. Nothing gets a guy more motivated to finish a project a week...
Mine are custom tuned with more aggressive damping and I run them about mid range on the adjustment knob. Thats with a little weight in the bed though maybe 200 lbs. I think you would enjoy adding a few more clicks.
Do you have the aluminum or cast steel knuckles? I still haven't installed my...
I left mine with the shock bodies up and have checked a few times after some moderate off roading and so far there has been no contact with the cross member. I am still considering the OME or new icon rear leafs with 1-2 lift and will have to re evaluate at Install.
I have seen a few threads about people who suffered damages to their rangers from mice rats or squirrels chewing on the wiring harnesses or even getting in the cab/duct work. I’m on a new job re claiming 30+ acres of pastures lands and mowing down all the black berries that have overgrown the...
I did the Fox 2.5 DCS which will be fairly similar. The rears made a world of difference especially for running logging roads with weight in the bed. Unfortunately I have the cast knuckles and have not been able to install the fronts yet due to the lack of UCA for the non aluminum knuckles.
Well I beat the bush trying to get into a Ford service department to take note of my issue and do an oil change with no luck. Appointments are a week out and the service advisors are talked to left a lot to be desired. I need the truck for a trip this weekend so I guess i am just going to...
Well the honeymoon is over with my new truck. Seems I am plagued with the fuel in oil disease. Just over 5k miles on the truck and oil level is rising and now reeks of fuel. My Ranger smile just turned upside down....
Yep that is how it is now and one of the several reasons I want the shock bodies on top. It is the valve for charging thew shock that is in question the adjustment knobs are facing down.
If I flip the resi around then it will be on the axle side and hit the axle tube under compression. I am still not sure if the axle can droop enough to cause the shock to rotate to the point where the valve cap hits but to be safe it seems the best option is to run the body down and shaft up...
Has anyone else installed the Fox 2.5 rear piggyback shocks? I am aware that the shock orientation does not matter as far as performance and function. I like to run my rear shocks with the shafts down and the bodies up for all the typical reasons. In the brief install instructions from Fox they...
Does this confirm that the taper is actually different for the cast steel spindles? Or is the angle of the taper still the same, but just the depth is less on the steel spindles?
I have the same Issue. New front coil overs just sitting until I can figure out the UCAs. I spoke with APG about their products and they do have an option for their billet UCA specifically for the cast spindles. They are pricey, use uni balls, and have adjustable heims. I was looking to get away...
My Dodge is an 05' and what I consider to be the best year of the 5.9L. The older trucks with the VP44 mechanical injection pumps got slightly better mileage and live a little longer but the 05' with the common rail and CP3 nailed the balance between efficiency and higher output. I also have the...
960 miles so far. Planning a a bigger road trip to McCall ID so that will give me a better average towing the trailer.
I decided to get the Ranger as my "fun getter' truck and keep my Dodge with the 5.9L Cummins that I use for towing my heavy equipment trailers. So while I didn't get the RAnger...
Just did my first little road trip with the new Ranger towing my snowmobile trailer. The trailer is an 18ft enclosed all aluminum two-place snowmobile trailer with a V nose running on tandem torsion axles. Fully loaded with two sleds, fuel, and gear I estimate the trailer to weigh in at just...
Can anyone confirm that the upper ball joint stud taper on the Icon DJ UCA's will work with the cast steel spindles found on later 2020 builds ? I am starting to make some moves on my suspension buildout and ran into some mixed messages while trying to decide on what UCA's I want to go with...
