Hearing these stories is the exact reason I never let other people touch my shit (If I can help it).
When I first got my new wheels I took them to an old school tire shop I have near me. It's a first come first serve type system, you pull up under the car port right in front of the door then...
A few thousand miles ago I had the truck at the dealer for a warranty transmission rebuild. I noticed when I got it home my new one piece lug nuts were scratched up on just the front wheels.
I went to rotate my tires and clean up the truck a bit and I could barely get the fronts off. I had my...
Spent the last few days around Lake Ouachita in Arkansas. Not a bad way to end off the year. Next week will be a year since I got the truck, it's been fun!
Nothing much truck related but I did get a set of air down valve caps. Now It won't take me 10 minutes with something pointy I found laying on the ground lol.
Recently we were told by the city our flag wasn't allowed(we've had it for 5 years). It wouldn't really be a big deal if our store wasn't invisible without it. Behold our new mascot.
Totally, I love a simple setup. All I want to do is throw some Spare clothes in the truck and go, nothing else. I did a back seat delete and built up a storage system with drawers so I can keep everything I need in the truck at all times with a few exceptions (batteries and camp stove fuel)
Yeah lol. I'm moving to the west coast next year but suspension is high on my list of things to get before I make the move. I gotta finish paying this thing off first though.
It's nice to see more of a "DIY" build. Ever since getting the truck in January I've been having fun setting it up for "Overlanding".
The common theme I've seen is how to blow a bunch of $$ but I like building stuff myself to save a bit.
So far I've spent close to an entire month this year...
I think I already know the answer to this question. Should I add lubegard to the new rebuild even if things are working good? Or is it only good for when the shifting is acting up.
Welp today I got a surprise. After being ghosted for close to 2 weeks I got a call saying my truck was ready. I wasn't sure what the hell was going on but after some questioning they did a full rebuild under warranty. Went by after work this evening and after paying the $100 deductible I was on...
I reverted it back to stock. Not sure if it matters, I'd assume no matter what they would write the stock tune back on the truck with the new transmission.
I got a call the day after I dropped it off saying they started diagnosing and that it "should" be covered under warranty. It's now been a...
Just the usual stuff. The other morning it wouldn't shift into 2nd or 3rd then got stuck in 4th. Whenever you put it into drive the entire truck violently jumps. 5th is starting to leave the chat along with 2nd. I think the TC might be going out too, it shutters pretty good during lockup.
Dropped off the Ranger today for the good ol transmission failure. 21 XLT with a few changes. Small tires, no towing. I've put about 20k miles on it since I got it in January but recently I've been unsure if it would make it out the drive way.
What sucks is I bought this truck because it was...
Got my rear diff fluid changed today along with a set of spark plugs. This is right at 80k miles. I bought this truck with 70k miles as a CPO and wanted to check the plugs to see if they were changed when they did the CPO inspection. They definitely were not.
