I emailed back and fourth with them today and they offered to send the different bushing and also gave some tips of how to soften the ones I already have. Honestly driving to work today I notice the vibration but it's not terrible and the truck drives so much better I'm not sure I want to change...
I changed to the "street" bushings and went for some drives today. Noticed much less vibration but not completely gone. The track bushings definitely caused a lot of vibration and it was getting annoying. I could definitely live with the street bushings but I'm curious to see your results. I'm...
I'm gonna run the track bushings for a bit more and see if they wear in at all. I've noticed my vibration at 45 went away but at 58-60 its pretty noticeable then goes away over 63.
I noticed a vibration around the same speed, didn't seem too bad but I'll monitor and probably try the street bushings if it bugs me.
Everything you mentioned are things I've noticed as well, mine was also pretty blown out.
Got the JXB driveshaft center support in the mail yesterday and got it installed today. The install was very straight forward with no surprises. The most time consuming part was cutting the old one off. Took maybe 45 minutes total.
This is what the stock bearing looks like with the old...
Crawled under the truck today to clean of some road kill goop that got all over everything. I noticed some "play" in the rear axle. There will obviously be some but not sure what's considered normal. Just now approaching 100k miles. Did a diff fluid change 20k miles ago and the oil didn't look...
Did a little clean up and tire rotation on the ranger today after a trip out to Big Bend.
Got under the truck and did a bit of bolt checking and inspecting to make sure nothing came loose on the trails. I read a forum about the leaf spring u bolts being loose so I thought I'd check mine. Sure...
Yep just connect a garden hose to the end of the supplied hose and fill up. I've messed around with it a bit and obviously the more water you have the less air volume so the pressure doesn't last as long. It's a pretty sweet little system. All of my camping is primitive so it'll be perfect for...
A fun project recently. I've been trying to find a good water solution for the camping rig and I think this will do the trick. Waterport "Overland" 5 gallon pressure tank. Add water then air it up to 40 psi and it works quite well. I moved the spare into the bed and mounted it underneath to keep...
I remember talking to one of my buddies after I got the truck. "I have a few things in mind but I'll probably wait till I get it paid off before I do anything crazy"
Ever since I bought this truck I told myself I would not spend the money on a BOV because I couldn't justify it. We'll here we are lol.
Of course I had to go out and test it. Unintentionally got in a race with a v8 Charger of some kind. Had him gapped all the way to 100!
Went for a drive today in the Texas "snow". Had a little fun, maybe too much fun lol. I noticed when I got on the brakes a little harder and the wheels started to break loose that my brake pedal would vibrate and make an audible noise. Almost like a frog. Thoughts? Had the truck for a year and...
Well I think the issue with that is I've already removed them, so we will never know how tight they actually were. If I do that test now I'm just going to see that I've torqued them down correctly. That is unless I'm missing something.
