Gfitz beat me to it, but that is whom I went thru for my kit..... sure there are other kits out there for less money as discussed earlier in this thread.
Depending on you and your usage and needs they may work just fine but honestly I've been very pleased with mine thus far.
My XLT 4x4 with a Fox light and factiry tures just averaged 20.8 MPG on a trip across 2 states, 3/4s interstate @80-85MPG and 1/4 mountain roads and offroad.......
I cannot complain as over the course of this trip I out 2k on my truck out of its current 2600. Compared to my old truck 20mpg...
Idk the code I cant even get a service appointment.
The towing comment was directed to the post I replied to in which the posters tranny had similar shifting symptoms then said while towing his tranny overheated, puked coolant and died. A 500+ mile tow of a truck and car hauler just seems like...
Well I just had a check engine light pop on today at only 2600 miles, glad I didnt let me S.O. use it to haul a car home from western NE like he wanted he found a 1988 Jeep Comanche in rele decent condition but not running for $200 and wanted to haul it back home to the other side of the...
I feel the same way, got mine last week.... no more wallowy feeling, or squaty look.
Its firm but not overly hard and jolting.... compared to before it was almost too soft and boaty.... like some banked freeway curves Im suppose to handle at 65 my truck at 55 felt like if I hit a pothole it...
So just an update:
Last Tuesday I had my Fox kit installed at 600 miles. Well then I left the next day on a 2000 mile trip covering 6 states technically although I really drove across 2.
Anyway I put 200-300 miles almost offroad driving alone on my truck. Black Hills S.D. lots of Forest...
Nooooo then I'll have to do a trade-in and won't have 0% APR............ But still it would be AWESOME!!!! Although I heard they may not drop a North American Raptor cause they don't want to steal any attention from the F150
No worries looks better the I thought on the stock wheel/tire combo.... I definately will be adding 1 to 1.5in wheel spacers though and eventually either 265/70/17 or 275/70/17 ( in that range about 32in diameter ) in either the BFG AT KO2 or something similar. But my F.O. isn't too happy how...
Local Ford Dealer did my Fox Ford Performance kit for a little under $400 out the door including alignment.
Generally its about 2-3hours labor depending on the shop and the tech doing the work plus an alignment.
So about $100/hr at a independent shop + $90-$120 for alignment.
$300-$500...
Wow didn't know they made a complete strut coilover setup. I knew they had 2 different ones, one that reuses all the factory mounts and 1 that reuses the upper strut mount but everything else is new.
Nice kit!
A local Ford dealer did my Fox coil over kit for a little $400 OTD with alignment.
The best deal I found besides that was $200 plus alignment from a local offroad shop, but they are booked weeks out and the dealer just made it easier if ever need warranty service.
Alright everyone here is the pics of the Fox FPP kit installed on factory tires!
First is Before the 2nd 2 is after.
Next is Raptor Grill and then hopefully my running board/sliders and FX4 skids will be here off backorder!!
Working with a tradein wholesaler for years, the tricks I saw staff and dealerships do to both new and used vehicles was down right SHOCKING!!! At least at first, then I just kept my mouth shut and learned what to look for and what they would try to pass off to us in wholesale lots and even in...
Here is mine sitting waiting to get put on.
Oh and my little girl is sitting at the dealer waiting on her front end lift!!!! When she gets home she'll be 2 sizes larger. :)
Thanks for the feedback just unsure what clips your referring too.
I maybe able to get my S.O. buddy to make a muffler delete and I may try that first then go from there.
Thanks for the bolts.
As for those 589fab plates, they come out to almost double the cost of the factory plates once all added together so for me Im going factory plus I like the look of the stainless front factory skid from the FX4 and for that and the transfer case skid plus the couple extra...
Interesting......
So on the tune end of things, when I bought my truck does that mean I am commited to that dealership for warranty and repair work for the life of my vehicles warranty? I bought my truck from a neighboring dealership group about 40 miles away cause well price. They are...
Thanks, this is my first new car ever and my first one under 40k. So its a learning curve even my old IS300 wasn't as tech advanced and computer complicated.
I guess ill give it longer. How do I know if its in learning mode still or not? Also do tunes jeoprodize your factory warranty...
It seems nice, just its twice what established truck aftermarket makers have for half price or a little over half. So I am going to keep looking for now. Its not a must have like the lift is/was...... just further down the rabbit hole of making this truck mine.
